Nature of This Resource

This is a private reference website with no authority over the Alger County Sheriff’s Office, Alger County Jail, Alger Correctional Facility, MDOC parole or probation, federal custody, immigration custody, or Michigan courts. It does not store official custody records. Staff cannot confirm whether someone is confined or released, open a jail door, alter a record, or file a request with an agency for a visitor.

The site points to public agencies and outside research services that may help a visitor locate inmate, jail, release, court, or corrections information. Access to Alger County administrative records is governed by Michigan’s Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 through 15.246 and applicable exemptions. Court files, MDOC records, and federal agency records follow their own access rules.

Alger County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not furnish background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising partners do not offer screening services through this site. By using the site, you agree not to rely on its content or linked search results for any FCRA-covered purpose, including:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, reassignment, or another employment decision
• Tenant selection, lease approval, or other housing screening
• Creditworthiness, lending terms, or insurance premiums
